Is envelope glue vegetarian?

before I joined VB, I assumed all the stuff about glue made from horses was all in the past....but post joining VB, I realised that that wasn't a good assumption, and that manufacturers might still use animal stuff on envelopes and stamps.....I usually avoid licking envelopes directly these days....lick my finger or spit on the things.

I don't send many letters anyway.

I have heard rumours that the envelopes sometimes get exposed to mice and other small rodents rooting around in warehouses where they are stored. To be on the safe side, I would suggest using a glue stick or a damp piece of sponge to seal them. At least all the stamps sold around here nowadays are self-sticking.
