Did you hear that Chris Christie, governor of New Jersey, vetoed a bill concerning vegetarian fare for schools? What do you think about this situation? Can you see both sides of the issue, or do you think he was wrong? What do you think would be needed to make such a bill pass?

Most schools do offer an vegetarian option or ones sensitive to the students needs, so I think schools where it is necessary are implementing this already. Those that don't, the parents can always kick up a fuss.

The problem with legislature is that it forces people to do things when it may not be necessary, so while it seems bad it just means that people can still fight for it if needs be in other ways.

I would pack my child's lunch. It's not fair to try and force an entire system to re-work its entire lunch program for a few students. Not only that, I would want to make sure my child's food really was 100% vegetarian. I don't think I would trust the implementation of that to just anyone.
