How to start animal rights activism as a new vegan?

How should a new vegan start to become an animal rights activist? I am new to veganism and I want to spread awareness about what is happening to the animals. My fear is that talking about it, people will become angry with me and try to fight me on it and I am not sure how to prepare for it... Because I am so new, I am afraid someone might ask me something and I won't have a response which might make what I'm trying to say sound meaningless and I don't want to ruin the meaning of veganism. Does that even make sense? I don't know... Does anyone have any tips?

I have a lot of tips. The first one is to see if there are any local groups in your area.
PETA doesn't have local chapters anymore. But you can (should join PETA) You may not agree with everthing PETA does but they are the biggest animal activist group on the planet.Their info on their website is geared to make vegan live easier and to help activists operate.
There probably is local groups in your area. You can find them thru FaceBook and MeetUp and other social platforms that I don't know about.
And yeah if you go door-to-door or face-to-face you do have to prepare. There is a few sites that can help. I have some of them bookmarked. let me see if I can find them.
