TV & Film Guilty Pleasures

I have no shame about what I watch anymore. I am loving Celeb BB at the moment and I watch all the Housewives shows.:D

I don't watch any British soaps or X-Factor or the dancing shows or anything like that though. I have some standards.:weird:

I like Kung Fu movies and bad action flicks. Reading-wise, I used to read all the old Mack Bolan books by Don Pendleton and still have a cache of Bizarre and Heavy Metal magazines somewhere.

^^^ I love bad action flicks, too, especially the Steven Segal ones :D.

I was really into Project Runway the first few seasons but I lost interest after it moved to Lifetime. I don't even know why I enjoyed watching it for as long as I did. I hate fashion, the modeling industry, and Heidi's voice makes me want to stab my eardrums with chopsticks. I guess I just liked some of the challenges (i.e. outfits made out of candy wrappers) and of course the never ending drama would sucker me in.
I can certainly understand your issues with the show. Though I have to admit I look forward to every episode.

Some of the designers have had some real issues when challenges have them work with regular or plus size women. This one guy, Vin I think his name was, practically brought a woman to tears commenting on how none of the belts from the accessory wall would fit her.

Pit Bulls and Parolees.

I like PB&P!

After avoiding the first 3 seasons, I finally started watching a few episodes of season 4, and now I'm hooked. I watch it without embarrassment. :)

However, I do have one guilty pleasure. It's Long Island Medium. It's all BS, but Teresa Caputo is really cute, and I love hearing the Long Island accents. :p

That always makes me cry! I like that accent too.:)

I used to like watching The Chawners- Britain's Fattest Family when they were on. But that has finished now.

I watched the first episode of the new TBS show King of the Nerds. I may or may not continue to watch it.

That show makes me irrationally angry because I know she's faking it and she's faking at grieving people and arrrgh...

But then again this thread is called 'guilty pleasures,' so... :P

I watch Ancient Aliens whenever I can catch it. The same thing goes for quite a lot of things on the History Channel, really. Except for Pawn Stars and Ice Road Truckers and all that crap (especially the really crappy American version of Top Gear). What I mean are 'scientific' programs, 'historic' things and the like, however inaccurate they may be.

Celebrity Apprentice All Stars starts the first week of March! I can't wait. I wish the show was created by someone else though. I despise Donald Trump and his creepy sons. His daughter is at least somewhat tolerable.

Definitely ain't anything guilty about liking Buffy or the Gilmore Girls as far as I'm concerned! I, however, have a shameful secret to admit. I watch, and enjoy, The Big Bang Theory .

BBT is not a guilty secret. Tons of people watch it. BBT is one of my favourite shows.

Being 30 & watching Sabrina the Teenage Witch on a channel called "PopGurl" at 6am whilst eating cereal in your PJs so your partner doesnt see you watching it is a guilty secret. :weird:

:D:D

Now that is a true guilty secret!

I've found that BBT is the new Friends. Which means I hate it. At least a little. Well, to be fair, it's slightly better than Friends. But still!

It's lazy, poorly-written, extremely broad and deals almost exclusively in stereotypes. It's the type of thing I normally hate. Yet for some reason I find it oddly comforting, weird!
