Less than a year ago, a Seattle zoo sent two elephants, Chai and Bamboo, to the Oklahoma City Zoo, even though a sanctuary was ready to take them in. Now, Chai is dead. Please take action today by urging the Oklahoma City Zoo to close its elephant exhibit immediately and send the remaining elephants to an accredited sanctuary, where they wouldn't die alone and unassisted as Chai did.

Chai Is Dead—Ask the Oklahoma City Zoo to Close Elephant Exhibit!

Signed. I also received a Care alert with this sad story. Elephants are highly intelligent creatures and particularly suffer when in captivity having to do stupid things.

I think that we should start to educate children and let them know about the harsh reality of zoos and circuses. They are far more inclined to understand animal suffering than many adults.

People should stop going to zoos and animal circuses. Nowadays, there are many circuses that don't include animals.
