Dogs Driving Cars !

Apparently this technique is being used in NZ to prove to future pet owners of how intelligent
rescue dogs are ! Everyone know how intelligent these mites are !!!!
I have concerns that dogs may get injured whilst being left on their own in the car.
I wonder what the NZ AWA say about this ?

The dogs wont be on their own, there will be a person in there with them, they just wont be instructing them.

And yes there are safety and ethical concerns from this, but frankly those dogs have driven the car better than a lot of human drivers I have seen. What they may lack in dexterity they seem to make up in common sense. Considering the jobs of high responsibility that many dogs are trained in, such as service for the blind or diabetics, or drug sniffing, it does not surprise me that a dog is capable of driving a car. Sometimes I think that all the worlds presidents and prime ministers should be replaced by dogs.
