In the past few years, have you played a game (usually console) where the background looks so perfect that it doesn't look real?
My son was recently playing the latest Halo for Xbox one and I noticed that the background/scenery (in a natural setting, not in a building) looked so good that it looked fake.
I know that sounds like a contradiction in terms, but it was so well drawn that my suspension of disbelief was shattered. I guess the best way to describe it - In nature, nothing is perfect, but it is in these games it is. And I find it disconcerting. Just a few years ago, the way the background scenery was drawn immersed me in the world setting, now I find them distracting.
