TV & Film Doctor Who (Spoilers!)

Yeah, I thought that was absolutely rediculous too. I mean, after all they had been through together, you would think that they could get through it. But if you see women the way Moffat does, I guess having children is the be-all, end-all; and if you can't give your man what he wants, you might as well let him go and suffer in silence like a good woman does, naturally. Ugh.

Yeah, I agree about the new companion. Is she the actress slated to be the new one? I wonder how that's gonna work out, with her being a dalek and all.

I thought they meant the dalek chose her to became a dalek because she is a genius. I am curious how they will integrate her as a new companion.

Ok, I just watched S7E1. I thought it was pretty lame. That's the best they can do for a series premier? Lame. I felt very little in the way of suspense or excitement.

Can The Ponds just go now, please? Amy has a Very Important Career of being a fashion model to attend to, after all. And Rory needs to get on with sitting around sighing over how much he loves Amy.

I will be interested to see how things play out with Oswin/Clara. Though I've seen mentions around the 'net about Clara being "from the past," so I guess that's fairly easy to just have The Doctor meet up with her in the past. Seems a little anti-climactic if we already know her Purpose is to make the Daleks forget the Doctor, though? I do like that she is intelligent, but it seemed like everything was a little too easy for her.

Well, I guess that makes sense (Oswin being from the past). It would be terribly sad knowing how she ends up, though.

I feel like so much more could have been done with the Ponds; and Moffat just screwed them over.

Oh, and I really do not like the stories where one species of things somehow changes into another species of things. IE, people turning into Daleks. I can suspend my disbelief enough to believe Daleks can exist, but not enough to believe a person can just be changed into a Dalek. I think it's lazy writing.

Amy I have no trouble with. Rory, on the other hand, I wish would get a testosterone injection. I'm not much in favor of macho posturing, but that dude's level is so low that facial hair may become an impossibility for him

It seems kind of fortunate to me that they can't have kids. The baby would stay in the womb for a thousand years to be close to the uterus it depends on
Don't get me wrong, I like Doctor Who a lot. But I have no love of the Ponds at all. Captain Jack and Rose (Season 1) I liked, but not the Ponds

I actually think I prefer Rory to Amy. :p But I think Moffat pegged him into a hole, he's a flat character.

I think Donna Noble started out as a flat character (the single 30 something who was Desperate. For. A. Man.), but she was allowed to grow into one of the best Dr. Who companions. I think Amy and Rory are a lost opportunity to grow the same way.

I wasn't overly fond of the end of Donna's story arc. I am glad that she didn't go emo over The Doctor, though. I was kind of sick of seeing that.
Wilfred was cool as hell, though

Well, I guess that makes sense (Oswin being from the past). It would be terribly sad knowing how she ends up, though.

They can always write in some way to cleverly save her at the end, though, right? Like how we know what will happen/has happened to River, but she got "saved." I think Moffat has overused the whole "we already know what will happen, let's be suspenseful until then" schtick.

Moffat is a bit too fairy tale in his storytelling. I do like how he writes The Doctor, though. Energetic, sardonic, a just a bit of a manic *******. I can get behind that

Underwhelmed for the third week in a row.

I really don't like the direction they're taking Eleven's character.

Can't wait for The Ponds to leave, and I hope River goes with them. Maybe it will get better when Clara arrives.

Yeah, I think that between ten and eleven, it's like watching a totally different show. I don't feel like there was this much of a gap between 9 and 10. :/

I still look forward to it every week, but I after these three episodes, I don't really feel compelled to watch them again and agian, like I have with past seasons.

How is it that Amy could shoot a gun in last week's episode, but fumbles so much this week?

I know I'll keep watching every week, but I don't look forward to it like I used to. And I agree, these episodes aren't really worth watching multiple times.

Boooo! All I can say. I mean even the Angels where not as good as they normally are.

Not surprising since I guess the Angels don't have any rules anymore, and have stopped being scary. They're just a joke now, which makes me sad because I used to think they were the scariest monster EVAR.

I hate Moffat's Who so much.
