I think they've pretty much established that biologically he gets younger each time, but who knows? They've done stranger things.

Okay, I know I've been a proponent of the 13 regenerations thing (AND IT WAS 13 NOT 12 GODAMMIT) but Moffat himself actually rectified that issue in Season 6 by having River give 11 her "regeneration energy!" And I thought it was really clever! One of the very few good things about Let's Kill Hitler! But now he's just going way back on that and that's BS.

Granted, that article originates at The Sun and right now it's very sketchy, but speculation and all available evidence points toward the explanation put forth in that article.

What!? A Moffat episode without sexist jokes? Where the emotions of women are neither disregarded nor attacked?

Where the storyline is actually incredibly coherent and emotional in the way the old show was!?

The Name of the Doctor made me think back to the better episodes of series 4 and 5. That's a good thing.

Stellar editing, with the working in of old concepts and the old Doctors. Bravo! I'm finding myself actually not too upset about John Hurt. As long as they don't try to call him the ninth Doctor. Which it sounds like they're not.

I wish they had done more with Paul McGann beyond that one film special he starred in. It was Dr Who, definitely, but different.

I haven't seen any Matt Smith episodes yet.

Okay, so while I loved the finale, there's one thing that's been pissing me off about it.

River Song.

Let me clarify. In the finale episode, she knew EVERYTHING about her death. So maybe it was River Song from the Library contacting him? Yet, in Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead, she not only didn't know about her death (or apparently the fact that the Doctor's older regeneration definitely wouldn't have had the adventures she remembered with the eleventh Doctor, but that's an entirely different issue altogether), she seemed grateful for the Doctor saving her to the Library. In the finale of series 7, she seems disgusted!

Get your **** together, Moffat!

No, River isn't gone yet, and she'll probably be in the 50th because Moffat likes to stuff his characters into things.

If you can suffer through Series 6 (which I liked the first half of and hated Let's Kill Hitler and its kind), I promise it gets better in Series 7 (particularly the second half with Clara). There are a lot of non-Moffat episodes and there are only a couple where I could realistically say "wow, this episode was a dud."

Despite all the issues with Moffat's writing (and it's not just him, it's several of the writers) I really have grown to like Matt Smith as the Doctor and will be sad to see him go.

There are a lot of people who hate Christopher Eccleston and even David Tennant. I disagree with them, of course. Each of the Doctors had their own positives and negatives, IMO.

I tend to disagree with the notion that the show just got terrible after Series 5, as well. There was definitely a downward trend in quality and of course Moffat has a lot of problems, but it never stopped being an enjoyable show for me.
