PressTV-IRGC busts terrorist group in western Iran
On September 20, the IRGC forces arrested two terrorists of Pakistani nationality in the southeastern Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchestan.

According to a statement by the IRGC, the terrorists had been funded by Saudi Arabia and had received intelligence assistance from spy agencies of enemy states.

Earlier in September, the IRGC announced that it had dismantled a terrorist group, backed by Saudi Arabia and the United States, in the province of Sistan and Baluchestan

Iran’s Intelligence Ministry said in August that it had identified 102 members or supporters of a terrorist group in Kordestan province.

In a statement, the ministry said that the identified individuals belonged to the so-called Tawhid and Jihad Takfiri terrorist group.

PressTV-Iran foils Takfiri plot in Fars province
Iran's Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi has announced that a Takfiri terrorist plot involving foreign nationals has been discovered and thwarted in the southern province of Fars.

Alavi made the announcement on Wednesday, adding that during the operations, several foreign nationals were detained and around 100 kilograms of explosives were discovered.

He also said that the Takfiris had planned to carry out their plot during the mourning ceremonies commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (PBUH), the third Shia imam.

“Evidence shows that Iran’s enemies guided the terrorists from overseas to create sectarian strife inside the country,” he said, adding that they failed to carry out their plot due to the Iranian nation’s vigilance.
