It can't just be me that watches children's TV? (Or maybe it is!).

What children's shows do you watch? I really like "Who Let The Dogs Out" on BBC (where kids train their pets to do different tricks), "Arthur" (the cartoon, I used to watch it as a kid).

Great things about children's TV: Easy to follow plots for when you've had a busy day, less waffle, the stories always have nice endings if you're having a bad day!

I and my daughter watch Timmy Time, Topsy & Tim, Sarah & Duck, and sometimes In The Night Garden, Pingu and Postman Pat. And maybe others I have forgotten.

Timmy Time is always good. Good story lines, nice animation, usually vegan-friendly. (Except for the bones the dog digs up ... and not sure what the cat has for lunch, now that I think about it? But all in all, nothing too horrible.)

Pingu can be quite funny, but Jen says he's too naughty (gets into fights and such), so can have a bad influence on us! Besides, there is the fish issue.

I like Sarah & Duck as well. Jen thinks it's a bit trippy, but I think it's fine.

Topsy & Tim is okay ... at least they've got a catchy theme song. The story lines can be a bit boring. Jen thought this show was going to be quite edifying, but actually it turns out it's quite subversive as the dog was naughty and threw the toilet paper down the stairs. This is now little Ms Summer's favourite rebel activity.

In the Night Garden I only watch because little Ms Summer likes to watch it. It's a bit repetitive and predictable, and the dialogue isn't very interesting either to be honest. (As you might expect since the characters can't speak much - all they seem able to speak are at best their own names. Iggle Piggle! Upsy Daisy! Iggle Piggle! and so on ...)

Just noticed the cat (she's called Mittens) on Timmy Time was eating pineapple for her lunch. Not so accurate, but I suppose vegan-friendly!
