I heard this on the news yesterday, myself. What a bizarre story! The shortage of tofu was mainly in Quebec. Nothing against anyone living in Quebec, but Quebec is almost a country in itself. It's a lot different than any other province in Canada, and not to mention they've tried separating from Canada twice already. Quebec is a very unique place/province.
It's a very strange phenomenon 26 per cent of Quebecers eat tofu on a regular basis where there's only 16 per cent in the rest of Canada
They have no shortage of maple syrup, that I can assure you.
