Basic Bush Tucker

Especially tomatoes! My oh my how sweet they are... :)

No, just the garden with some vague protection from the local deer and insects. Some years we get no usable apples because there's a grub in every last one :(

A bit of watering or building planting boxes :) (Same for me tbh, it's Ms g0rph who does most of the growing :)

Sounds great :)

"Don't allow"?

It's wild that people can't do what they like with their own gardens in some parts of the world.
Mama don't allow no dandelions 'round here... Mama don't allow no dandelions 'round here...
But if you don't care what Mama don't allow
Grow them dandelions anyhow
Mama don't allow no dandelions 'round here.

@Emma JC I was quoting an old folk song that I first heard in a coffeehouse. The singer was improvising, mentioning different things Mama had a dim view of. I don't know if it had specific lyrics when it was first written.
Yeah, kill them weeds… no good weeds, can’t eat’m, hard to kill’m… but kill them weeds…

This morning, I noticed some Garlic Mustard plants coming up. They're growing fast, but I'm always hungry. I've heard that too much at once can make you sick, but I've never had problems. I think it has small amounts of cyanide- but so do apple seeds. You won't have a problem unless you eat a really unusual amount of them.

Oh, in case u misunderstood, many weeds are edible and have medicinal properties… I forage for them
I came across a cache of ‘Purslane’ last week, they have a pleasant flavour, even raw… Native to Australia and I went to harvest some, but found the local council had ‘whipped snipped’ them… Such was their FATE, instead of my PLATE 😢 IMG_0660.jpeg

Tis a loss indeed @jalan
However, at least your council cut them down physically - in my town they would have used Weed Killer Poison on them…
