Jordi Casamitjana (author of Ethical Vegan) talks with four vegans who have been vegan for over 50 years:

It's a small world as strangely enough one of these vegans happens to be a good friend of mine ; Angie who is from Brighton.
We were only
discussing veganism back in the 60's this afternoon during a Whatsapp chat. Both she and her life vegetarian boyfriend tried to
change the world whilst at uni by making posters and sticking them all over the walls and lamp posts in town.

She has never mentioned this interview to me and I stumbled across it after having read an article about a family of vegans (the Howards from Hitchin) during the
60's in the UK when soya milk didn't exist.

Yes. She is quite unique and people are gobsmaked when they know that she’s been vegan for 57 years.
Moreover all her children and grandchildren are also vegan.
