Music What bands/concerts have you seen?

@Chryssie There's nothing wrong with seeing musicians in pubs. Who knows- you might catch a new artist whose career is about to really take off! I and my square-dancing friends saw the country group Diamond Rio just before they got their first top-40 hit. You could get right up in front of the stage (where a mosh pit would be, if there was one). There was no moshing- but two of the band members seemed to be having some sort of disagreement. They weren't talking near a microphone and I couldn't make it out.

My friends and relatives have varied musical tastes. My Mom liked Tchaikowski (sp?) and had loved opera all her life, but had never been to one... until one day when she heard a recording of Placido Domingo in a record store, and her love of opera was revived. My Dad loved traditional country music. My youngest sister was a fan of The Captain and Tenille- and then, later, a MUCH BIGGER fan of Olivia Newton-John. My middle sister has been into top-40s pop. I've been to concerts with all of them, and enjoyed when they were playing their music in the house.

I'm all over the map: classical (Renaissance to relatively modern: Randall Thompson, Vaughan-Williams, Charles Ives, etc), 60s and 80s pop and rock, East Indian music, American country music...
