Relatively speaking, things look positive at the moment, with Trump clearly backing down on Greenland and the nation as a whole not backing him on ICE in Minnesota. It's tragic many of the things that happened there, but hopefully Trump's attempts to gain dictatorial power have reached a peak and this is about as crazy as the world and the nation will allow him to go.

I don't know if I feel as positive as you. It's like waiting for the other shoe to drop but he has unlimited pairs of shoes.

To be fair if I've looked into 30th January 2026 with a crystal ball from 30th January 2015 I'd probably have cried, or thought it was impossibly bad.

I just mean things did improve in 2 little ways compared to a couple of weeks ago.

It's gone from really sh1t to still sh1t. That is still a bit better.

Demanding voter registration from protesters
Federal agents arrested Don Lemon and Georgia Fort-journalists- for the church protest

Personally, I don’t have any confidence that his attempts at grabbing More power reached their peak…

I’ll be So thankful if the Left does well in the Midterms, that is the Only way to control him…

As an ex American now living in Ireland I’m wondering what American residents are thinking about the attacks on Venezuela ?
Last night I was messaging with another expat who lives in France. We are both Greatful not to be living in the USA, however, we are Quite concerned about the Worldwide implications.
