I have been vegetarian for 5 years, but have decided to just stop faffing about with cheese and go vegan. However, the best vegan stuff seems to be only in the USA.

So, advice from UK vegans please! I'm just starting and need help!

I like some of the Sheese.
I get that off Goodness Direct website.
And V-Bites(Redwoods) fake meat, and pizza.

I don't do much shopping offline, so not much help.

I do almost all of my shopping online too. One of the most helpful thing for me is the vegan lists you can get from the supermarkets as lots of products are accidentally vegan.

Superdrug marks all their products and lots of them are vegan. Co-op sometimes has vegan toiletries but that can be hit and miss.

Footwear - I have non leather shoes and boots from Vegetarian Shoes, Fashion-Conscience and Ethical Wares.

I used to eat cheese breakfast lunch and dinner, and snacks...every day!
The best way I found was to just not bother with vegan cheeses because they just weren't the same. So for a year iv had cheeseless pizzas and red sauces with my pasta. I have the occasional vegan cheese sandwich but that's about it really. Still not a big fan, but it's better now that it's been so long since I had dairy cheese xxx

Yes, I agree, the vegan cheeses aren't the same thing exactly. Some are okay, but I don't really care if I don't have any, most of the time. Cheeseless pizza is actually not bad, and personally I quite like them with lots of different vegetables such as sautéed spinach, and a side dip of hummus.

I find the Vegusto (vegan) chesse really good, you can get it in some HFS, or order online. It's pricey, but tastes really good IMO.
It's the only vegan cheese I'd eat.

I really like the Redwood Cheezly & tomato pizza.

Their site's good for getting an idea of what vegan goodies you can get. You can set the filter so you only get vegan results.

Goodness Direct seems to have not stocked the Redwoods(V-Bites) pizzas for a while. I signed up for an email notification for when they have it again and I'm still waiting.

The Redwoods(V-Bites) own site has it, and their other products though:

I think it is only three pound delivery, not sure.

Their sausage rolls are pretty good.

I have pesto on my mind at the moment but I like vegan pesto on my cheese-free pizzas.:lick:
