I have read this far into the comics

Rick is starting to take advice from Negan, who is still locked up. He doesn't want to fight with the Whisperers, but he tells the people of Alexandria that they are going to. He's trying to save his own *** at this point, starting to lie, and basically turning into a politician IMO. hehe.
 
I hope it isn't going to stay at that level of violence. I know they have gore sometimes, but that was too much for me.:hurl: I stopped watching Game of Thrones because I found it too violent, and also creepy. I like some of the characters in TWD though so it would be harder for me to give it up.:D
 
Agreed. I wasn't so much disturbed by the violence, but by...

the fact that Negan deliberately broke Rick. That sort of thing really scares me.

That's not from the comic books... It's exclusive to a separate magazine that will probably be impossible to get back issues of once it's done.... If I were talking about the comic book I would have used spoiler tags... I can post pictures of that whole story so far if anyone wants to read it. It's from a magazine called Image Plus.
 
I just watched The Talking Dead.<3 I think I have only cried at one bit on TWD and I nearly cried again when the person who was killed came on TTD.
 
So, can we just stick to talking about the most recent episode that has just happened without spoilers now, but with upcoming episodes/storylines to use spoilers? That was the rule on here, right? I'm getting confused.:D

I know.:( I was warning my brother today as he hadn't seen it. I kept thinking I was going to give something away to you as I know you had to watch it late this week.
 
I have only cried over TWD a couple times. I admit to crying over Rick's horse in the pilot. Horses getting eaten upsets me greatly and I can't watch those scenes. I cried over Sofia and I can't watch the Lori gives birth and dies scenes. I knew what was going to happen on the premier so I wasn't traumatized... just grossed out. It helps to be reading the graphic novel as it is way ahead of the TV show even though they do change things up some.

Well, I'm fine with using spoiler tags for anything comic related, or spoilers that I've seen for upcoming episodes... Question is, how long is long enough to discuss things that have already aired without hiding it behind a spoiler tag?
 
I just wanted to talk about the most recent episode (without a spoiler) and wasn't sure if I was meant to. I assume spoilers are about episodes that haven't aired yet.

I honestly started to cry when Abraham was killed and how f*cking brave he was. I don't think I have ever cried at TWD before!:cry::cry::cry:

It's been kind of a mix bag since the episode aired. Half and half comic book and premier. But yeah, I agree... It has been long enough, I think if anyone hasn't seen it three days later and they look in here, maybe it's their bad, not ours for openly talking about it. Go back and look at the Comic to Screen posts, so amazingly close to how it played out on TV... Also goes back to what Chryssie just said.
 
When you view the forum on your phone, you can see the start of posts even when you haven't clicked on the thread itself. Got potential to read something you don't want to see without even meaning to.

I'm not sure if you were talking to me, haha. But, if every post is in a spoiler than I won't know if it is about the most recent episode that presumably everyone on here has seen, or something that hasn't happened yet.:confused:

So we need more rules.

1. Spoiler tags for an episode that just aired but should be fair game to openly discuss after two days.

2. Spoiler tags always for things that are going to happen in the future.

3. It should be easy enough for the person posting to give a heads up...spoiler tag is for "Sunday's episode that just aired" or "spoiler tag is for a future episode" or "from the comic".

Would that work?

Definitely on #3... Great idea, I for one will always specify what the spoiler tag is being used for from now on.

I accidentally saw a spoiler right before watching the episode, so I already knew that Negan would kill two people. I already figured they would kill Glen, but I wasn't expecting Abraham to die too.

Did anyone else notice how stoic Carl was? I wonder if he was in shock or if he's just less disturbed than other people because of his age. He likely doesn't remember much about how the world used to be.
