Interesting.

Have seen a few of those, and agree that they are very good (Birdman / Selma / The Walk / Whiplash), others are ok, but not great (Inside out / Song of the sea / Mad Max - Fury Road / Star Wars Force Awakens), for others it served to me as a reminder that I should possibly go see them.

Might have to re-watch Foxcatcher. Started to see that on the plane but turned it off about half time as I found it boring. Possibly better in a non-edited version on a bigger screen.

Was missing "Childhood" in the list.

Best regards,
Andy

I've only seen It Follows on that list. I started to watch Mad Max and thought it was quite boring. That will probably be a very unpopular opinion as everyone else seemed to love that film.:D

When I was in my early twenties I used to go to the cinema and see about 4 or 5 films a week, including indie films, but now I prefer watching the quality TV series to watching films.

I want to watch It Follows but I'm scared. [emoji33]

I have not even heard of most of those films! I have seen Mad Max and Star Wars and enjoyed both of them. Some of them sound interesting .... others.... not so much. :D

Hehe, bringing up that old thread ... as more of the movies should now be available on streaming services :-)

Oh wow, I've barely seen any of those & must be the only person who didn't enjoy Mad Max.

I didn't like it either. The "empowered women" people spoke of was lost on me. I only saw another chance to exploit woman and reenact typical male dominance for women to rise above. That's always been a sexy theme.
