The Bureau of Arms Control with the U.S. Department of State released the latest exchange of data under the New START treaty with Russia on October 1st.

Compared to October 1st 2013, Russia’s number of both deployed nuclear warheads and deployed launchers has increased substantially. The number of deployed ICBMs (Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles), SLBMs (Submarine Launched Ballistic Missiles) and Heavy Bombers (Tu-95 and Tu-160) increased from 473 in the autumn 2013 to 528 this autumn.

I'm not sure whether I should believe it or not but, if true, Putin should be ashamed. This bothers me more than anything else Russia has done.

Norwegian media says most of the new nukes are located near the Norwegian border, in submarines, I believe. Ah, Russian submarines. This evokes fond memories from the happy 80s when paranoid Norwegians spotted Soviet submarines in all sorts of places, such as in Norway's longest fjord.

After Russia's occupied parts of three other nations without major repercussions, it's really odd they would think they'd get away with this. /sarcasm.
