That's putting it mildly, lol. One does not open one's mouth for fear of really offending someone, being it's their livelihood and all and I do like most of them... that and it's a small town and I have to live here too. When people ask what I have been doing and why I look so much better, I just tell them eating better and cutting out the processed crap and stuff, and leave it at that.
 
These photos are so beautiful, it makes me realise how ugly my local area is.:rofl:
 
Some photos of Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary for Lord Snot (I live about 10 minutes from here). Look closely in some, you might find a fine feathered friend camouflaged in the background.

Swamps are cool...so are alligators, even though they scare me. :)
 
If you're ever being chased by an alligator, run in a zig-zag.
 
I've been to the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. It's beautiful, but I was very glad of the boardwalk. :D

You have indeed become a swamp dweller!

Small world!! Boardwalk for sure. No way would you catch me walking through that, value my limbs...

My husband actually took the photo from a bridge next to Tamiami Trail south of Naples in the Glades. There were tons of gators just hanging on the sides of the road in the water. I would say he was maybe 30-40 feet away?
 
There's a flying critter in that first photo that lights up when it farts, or something .
