I watched "The Perfect Neighbor" last night which is a documentary about a shooting that happened in Central Florida in 2023. Since this happened not far from where I live, I saw all the news reports when it happened so I was interested in this film. It is a story that rocked the community and the whole country heard about it. Stand your ground laws are very controversial and this case is a test of those laws in Florida. It's presented almost entirely of Sheriff's dash cam and body cam footage and interviews. A dispute between neighbors, an older white woman who lives alone, and her Black neighbor who lives across the street with her 4 children escalates into a violent confrontation in which the young Black mother is shot and killed through the woman's closed front door. It was very interesting to watch, in real time, the footage of the racist woman harassing children and constantly calling the cops on them. She was charged with manslaughter, convicted, and sentenced to 25 years in prison. This is a film that is upsetting but illustrates that racism is still alive and well but thankfully in this case, justice was served.

I am going to see Mandalorian and Grogu on Sunday with some of my family. I am very much looking forward to it!
This was pretty good. I found a bit lighter/breezier than I expected, but I still enjoyed it. My favorite Star Wars movie remains The Empire Strikes Back. Rogue One is probably second. I really loved that one.

I watched "Greenland 2" which stars Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin who is in "Sheriff Country" which I really like. I didn't remember watching "Greenland" but when I looked at it, it said I did. It was a pretty typical "after the comet destroys the world" disaster movie. Some decent special effects and an emotional family story.
