I watched two streaming movies this week.

Bogonia on Netflix.
Very weird but not necessarily in a good way. The twist at the end was not telegraphed but expected.

The Gorge on Apple. Long build up which was good for setting up some connections and feelings for the main character. but I felt it was about 30% too long. Plot was almost unique. However I felt it was just a derivation of some other other plots but more contrived. Again the twist at the end was not telegraphed but sill expected. almost inevitable.

we watched Apex last night with Charlize Theron - it was awful, as far as the premise goes, and yet oddly fascinating too - Eric Bana was in it and other than Charlize the main character was played by Taron Egerton and he did a great job - the scenery was amazing (Norway and Australia)

Agree. I don't like gory films. However, I absolutely love Eric Bana who is so talented and has charisma. Charlize is also a good actress and quite stunning. The scenery was more than spectacular but I really didn't enjoy it.

However, I did watch it until the end :D

yes, that sums up exactly how I felt about - I actually walked away, at one point, and started doing dishes and then was drawn back and watched to the end... Charlize and Uma are definitely "must watch" for me

last night we watched Code 3 - it was a very interesting insight into the world of paramedics - it was supposed to be a comedy and bits of it were funny, however, it does show the stress on these brave folks

we watched Remarkably Bright Creatures, last night, with Sally Fields, Colm Meaney, Alfred Molina and it was wonderful, in our opinion - I found out this morning that it was filmed in British Columbia and it does involve rescued sea creatures in aquariums - on Netflix

Fall Guy last night - it was entertaining and fun - Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt

@shyvas - I tried to pull up Dirty John and we are prevented from watching it for some "licensing" reason - strange thing is that it appears that we watched the first season and yet I have no recall whatsoever

Netflix have removed Dirty John-John Meehan story. I managed to watch it twice but don't know on which streaming channel it's available.
It's a shame as it was a really excellent series based on a true story.

we watched Novacaine last night and it was so violent and crazy that we laughed at so much of it - it is billed as an Action/Thriller however I do think they should add /Comedy to it as well - very very different and very entertaining
