I just watched "The Legend of Ochi". It is a sweet but odd film about a young girl, Yuri, who lives on an island in the Black Sea where the farmers live in fear of the Ochi. They are apelike creatures who prey on the sheep. Yuri rescues a baby Ochi from a trap and sets off to return him home. The cinematography is amazingly beautiful and surreal in an "old school" style. The creatures are puppets, not CGI which is also old school. An interesting film though too slow moving in the middle to hold children's interest IMHO.

We went to the cheaper movie theater yesterday and watched Weapons I went in with hardly any idea what the movie was, but it was a trip and a half. It was a horror by the people that did Barbarian. Let's just say I was cracking up at the ending. I love horror that makes me giggle.

We watched The Empty Man last night which was a horror on Disney. 7/10.
