Milk Recall in Australia, Disturbing Contamination

They fail to mention the faeces and puss contamination as well as the appalling industry practices... but at least it exposes poor regulation and intermix of chemicals that ended up on the supermarket shelves.

I can't help but think they are related - two scenarios come to mind:

Scenario 1
Oh, we used too much cleaner in our milk (recall 1), let's not use too much cleaner (recall 2).

Scenario 2
Oh, we have too much poo going into the milk, let's add more cleaner in the milk to kill the bacteria for the milk to be safe (recall 1), oops we used too much cleaner (recall 2).

Risk mitigation strategy: don't drink milk!
