And how the **** can those parking spots not be sexist?! Even if it is just a joke, since the mayor mentioned 'humourless', it's still sexist and still not funny.

I almost always back into parking spaces...I find it easier than pulling in forward. I'm a woman in case anyone didn't know.

I think gender assigned carparking is absolutely dumb. I know men who cannot parallel park, and women who are absolute geniuses at backing and parking. I have terrible spatial skills but I still manage to parallel park when I need to.

I unfortunately fall into the stereotype of women drivers when parking, although I have more than once been told (by men, always) that I "drive like a man", whatever that means.

I don't 'park,' I land; any one I can walk away from...

Though having said that, trying to park normally is often hopeless with the cars I drive because they're dementedly wide. And anything with 'reverse parallel' in its name can go **** itself, I'd rather just walk further.
