Last Thing You Bought?

@shyvas I'm so glad you found the pendant!

I went to Kohl's to spend my Kohl's cash, and I got a pair of faded black jeans (not the brand I originally wanted, as they were out of Apt 9) and a cute T-shirt with flowers on it that says "Worry Less, Love More." My Kohl's cash covered all but $1, so that was pretty good!

My latest haul from Lidl's. You can't actually see all of the fruit and veg that I got in the discounted box for 2€; 2 pineapples, 1 melon, 2 kg aubergines, 2 packs of chicory, carrots, radishes etc. The only veg that I bought were the tomatoes and 1 avocado. I also bought 4 packs of oats, 2 artisan style loaves of bread with a 50% discount and the frozen cauliflower was bought with my loyalty points.

The total came to 6.77€ which is very good value considering all the meals that I will make with the produce. The oats are mainly for the pidges and I will give one pack to one of the de stringers.

Nice haul. That would probably cost me $30-40...no discount boxes here.

I think that if the produce wasn't discounted, it would have cost 17€. Lidl is far cheaper than any other super/hypermarket for fruit and veg.

However, it's really a hit or miss as I don't go every day and they don't have the boxes each time. The last time that I bought one, was two weeks ago. Same for the bread. It's been a fortnight since I got the reduced loaves.

The olive and rosemary was a real treat at 8.99. Worth it? I was truly craving good bread so yes, but not really. The dried olives were nice but I didn't notice rosemary

I sprinkled water on a slice and put it in the toaster oven to warm--it's sooooo good!

I bought some Ramonas frozen falafel balls
and although I was quite pleased the last time I bought them are they really chick peas? Is it just the salt and pepper making me think they have got pork in them. I do not put salt and pepper on or in my own food.
Has anyone got any knowledge about this please?
Her products are not alll vegan.

I ordered some yarn from Herschnerr's. I restocked some of my colors in acrylic. I got a mustard yellow, some turquoise, and three kinds of variegated yarns in blues, purples, greens and pinks. I used some of my earnings from the craft fair. :D

I traveled to a local bookstore and picked this up yesterday. The cashier gave me a strange look, but I'm used to it. :)

I’d be a bit suspicious too, especially if they taste noticeably different from the last batch you had.
They should be made with chickpeas, but the seasoning can definitely give them a more savoury or “meaty” taste.
I’d check the ingredients and allergen information on the packet, as recipes can change.
If there’s anything like pork, animal fat or other non-vegan ingredients in there, it should be clearly listed.
Might be worth contacting Ramonas directly if the label isn’t clear, just to put your mind at rest.

I placed another yarn order at Herrschner's (I spelled it incorrectly last time!) because they offered free shipping. I got lots of 100% cotton in cranberry, a deep pine, bright pink and a pale green, kind of like sage. Some of it will be used for three orders I received for wine bottle holders, and one will be a wine bottle holder that will give as a Christmas gift to my niece -- with a bottle of wine and a pretty wine glass.

I spent lots of money while in London. We ate out a couple of times, I bought lots of alcohol at the concert and then we went to Holland & Barrett and bought lots of nice things, chocolate, flavoured Matchas, oatcakes etc...

I find that H&B have very little choice concerning vegan products. They used to have a wide selection including chilled and frozen food. I also like their soya mince.

They have a lot of things with honey in!
