Kent - 100 Cars in Crash on Bridge

This awful accident has happened this morning in my home county of Kent ,on the Isle of Sheppey.

It is amazing that there were no deaths and mostly minor injuries. Questions are to be answered as there are no hard shoulders or emergency phones on the bridge. Why were people speeding in foggy condition ?

My goodness...that is a big accident! So glad no one died.
 
That there were no casualties suggest that people had lowered their speed to some extent.
 
Awful, I'm glad everyone is alive. I feel sick just looking at the photos.

I was on a motorway over the bank holiday weekend (going to Kent funnily enough) and it was foggy and absolutely pissing down with rain, I could barely see the car in front of me. It amazed me the amount of cars that didn't have their headlights on (let alone fog lights), tearing down the road or right up my arse. I dont see how it is hard to turn on a switch.
