Nutty thick steaks of celeriac with lentils and garlic mayo, takes on a hero role in this delicious supper.

The days are becoming shorter in the Northern hemisphere and evenings are far cooler. It's time to get out all of the Autumn/Winter recipes and start cooking comforting stews, bakes and pies.

I'm having a portion of curried coconut butternut squash soup for lunch today that I made and froze. I'm going to make leek and potato soup at the weekend. :)

I really enjoy a hearty leek and cauliflower soup. The former were on SO at Lidl's this morning. However, I didn't buy any as my fridge is full to the brink as I bought a veg/fruit box the other day.

The comfort food season does me in because it lasts six months and I always want to accompany any comfort food dish with bread and butter lol.

I hear you on the bread! I want it at every meal, lol.

Casseroles are one of my favorite comfort foods, especially vegan shepherd's pie -- pretty much anything involving potatoes is comfort food for me, haha.

I just realised I haven't got a dish to make it with. I might have to buy one soon. :yum

I bought a few from Tesco (or Berts in Brighton) for £2. JO uses them to make bakes and cottage pies.
