Google talk?

Has anyone ever used this? I've never used any video chat and was wondering if it's worth checking out. Thanks'.

I guess no one uses it, I thought it might be useful for my family to keep in touch with each other seeing as we're all over the place but I'll look into something else.

I am not familiar with Google Chat. Is it like Skype? I have a cousin who just moved and this will be her first Christmas not spent with the rest of us. Her son is going to set up the Skype thing. I'll just be a spectator, waving in the background, lol.

FaceTime is easier for me and my family members that have iPhones.

I've used it, but only for text chatting. It seemed pretty mediocre, but functional.
