VEGAN CAMP OUT (UK) 14th AUGUST 2026

The next Vegan Camp Out (VCO) is taking place from August 14th to 17th, 2026.

"You can book your tickets for the festival right here, right now. Festival-goers will get to visit a brand new location for VCO 2026: Walesby Forest in Nottinghamshire.

Walesby Forest is a nearly 90-year-old outdoor activity center set within more than 250 acres of Sherwood Forest, right in the heart of Robin Hood country. “We’re heading to a brand new location again this year,” Vegan Camp Out director Jordan Martin told Plant Based News (PBN). “Walesby Forest is a beautiful venue that has so many great qualities to it, and will be the perfect setting for VCO moving forward.”

[td] Entrepreneur Heather Mills Sponsors Vegfest Free 2026 - Britain's Largest Free Vegan Festival​ A crowd of up to 3,000 people is expected to gather at Edgbaston Cricket Ground on Saturday April 25th as Vegfest Free arrives to the city, bringing what organisers describe as “the UK’s biggest free vegan event of the year” to Birmingham. Backed by food entrepreneur Heather Mills and sponsored by her new wellness food brand ‘No Bloat’, the one-day event will feature up to 150 plant-based stalls, more than 40 speakers and performers and a full outdoor programme of live music, comedy and spoken word. The free festival aims to make vegan living accessible to everyone, particularly at a time when many large-scale events come with high ticket prices. Advance tickets are required and are completely free to the public. The festival is ideal for everyone including those new to plant-based lifestyles as well as longtime vegans, vegetarians and anyone who loves trying new food! The event is also free for a number of charities, community interest companies, animal sanctuaries, authors, artists and selected start-ups, making it a unique event in this day and age. ​ Heather Mills is supporting the event through her new food brand No Bloat, which will be exhibiting on the day and offering samples of its nutritious, gut-friendly ready-meal pouches. “Now more than ever it’s time to support each other and work together within the broader vegan community,” says Heather. “Vegfest Free presents a unique opportunity to extend solidarity to so many organisations whilst introducing thousands of people to the benefits of plant-based lifestyles.” A Boost for Birmingham’s Plant Based Scene Alongside national brands, the event will showcase several Midlands based artisan food producers, offering visitors the chance to sample a wide variety of plant-based foods, from street food and sweet treats to sustainable pantry staples. Organisers say Birmingham was chosen for its diverse food culture and growing appetite for healthier and more sustainable lifestyle options. “It may be that you've been advised to increase your plant-based intake for health reasons” say the organisers “or it may be for environmental reasons or simply concern for animals. Whatever the reason, VegfestFree is designed to show just how accessible and enjoyable plant-based living can be.”

AOH May 2026 listings

Throughout May Brighton and Hove will be alive with festivities, including nearly 200 Open Houses spread across the city, along the coast and out to the village of Ditchling and beyond. Each weekend in May, artists will be opening their doors to welcome you inside, offering a unique opportunity to meet artists and makers in their homes, where you can hear about the making of the artwork, both the how and the why.

The beautiful 2026 AOH brochure cover illustration is by artist and printmaker Alej Ez; his artwork Modern Bathers weaves together personal ritual, local history, Modernist influence, and Brighton’s built and maritime landscape into one layered composition. Don’t miss the chance to visit Alej Ez’s Brunswick home to see his print series People and Places, Revelations of Love, of which Modern Bathers is a part, or find his work in three other venues around the town.

In other Open Houses you can experience a pop-up dog tattoo parlour – tattooing dogs on humans – chatting ceramic vases, transient inflatable sculptures and artwork using living bacteria, DNA and technology to create intricate textile installations. Enjoy a sundowner in a Secret Garden, a creative cacophony in a Little Picture Palace, or enter a hidden tunnel to the Dream Fishing House. Many Open Houses also offer workshops for both adults and children to get involved, learn new skills and explore their creativity.

The Artists Open Houses festival welcomes all artists, from those just starting out on their careers to established artists and makers, including school and university students, neurodivergent artists, those with learning disabilities and mental health issues and residents of senior homes. Meeting the artists and makers and buying directly from them, means you are not only making unique purchases, but supporting both emerging and established creatives from throughout the city and region.

Visiting the Artists Open Houses presents a great way to explore Brighton and Hove beyond the usual tourist routes, whilst being creatively inspired – and maybe even sampling homemade cake and tea in artists’ homes or gardens. Tickets for the Bristol Vegan Fayre 2026 are on sale from May 1st on BOGOF throughout May – get ready for a huge celebration of all things vegan for this summer solstice weekend festival with an emphasis on entertainment seeing as its mid summer, with an outdoor stage at the back and DJ booth at the front alongside 2 talks rooms featuring a wide variety of vegan and plant based themes.

Highlights of the event include over 90 traders including 12 vegan street food caterers with a fine selection of some of the best plant-based food options available, an outdoor stage with live music from a number of vegan musicians including reggae influenced BFriendly, songwriter Ian Haywood, folk guitar and fiddle duo Haze-Fire and Blues guitarist David Robinson, a DJ booth in the front courtyard with an uplifting selection of tunes for the summer solstice, 2 talks rooms featuring Animal Rights & Activism with some of the UK’s leading campaign groups, and Plant Based Lifestyles including a chat with ex professional footballer Simon Clist and a presentation on plant based options for dogs and cats from Dr Arielle Griffiths

In addition to live music and DJ’s, Bristol Vegan Fayre is thrilled to welcome back two standout comedians to the event alongside our regular compere Mike Kelson. Step forward Andrew O’Neill and Ishi Khan for an hour of mirth, madness and merriment for our comedy hour at 5pm
