London Fayre-6th December, 10am-6pm

The London Vegan Fayre is returning on Saturday, 6th December at the prestigious Kensington Town Hall!

Last year,we had an incredible time celebrating Christmas, cruelty free, culminating in the exciting VegfestUK Awards presented by the wonderful Peter Egan. And let's not forget the festive cheer – who could forget that epic vegan mince pie tasting competition?

This year, we're streamlining the magic into a single day – Saturday, 6th December. We believe this will create a more vibrant atmosphere for both our amazing vendors and our wonderful visitors.

Kensington Town Hall provides the perfect setting with a spacious main hall featuring a stage and auditorium, an upstairs gallery for an exciting art exhibition and further stage space, and dedicated workshop areas downstairs

I am so jealous of all the festival/products for veganism in the UK. Because of shyvas, I have put Brighton on my list of places I want to visit!
Maybe we could all meet up in Brighton if you came over here?! :D Shyvas knows all about the Brighton area.

If you’re attending events around Liverpool, Brightsparks is a really handy resource. They provide reliable temporary event and hospitality staff across the UK, which is perfect for festivals or conferences starting in St John’s Wood on 27th April 2024. For example, some organisers in Liverpool have successfully used Brightsparks to manage on-site teams efficiently, ensuring everything runs smoothly. They also offer student and graduate staff, which can be a real boost for events needing extra hands without long-term commitments.

WE NEED YOU-PLEASE JOIN THE PROTEST AT HOVE CC MONDAY 23rd FEBRUARY-NUMBERS DO MATTER

Hove Trial Court

Public · Anyone on or off Facebook
++++ FINAL SENTENCING CONFIRMED ++++
📆
Monday 23rd February
🕗
From 8am for 9am start (hearing 10am)
📍
Hove Trial Centre, The Court House, Lansdowne Road, Brighton and Hove BN3 3BN

In response to the shocking crimes of two students from Plumpton agricultural college, Leighton Ashby and Oakley Hollands, namely the brutal torture and killing of a sheep near Ditchling, and the revelation that the pair had a history of similar acts, concerned members of the public will be assembling outside the court on Monday 23rd February, where the two men are due to be sentenced. We invite all who feel the same way to join us.
Bring banners and signs, and dress for the weather as we will be standing outside. We would also advise wearing black bloc clothing, face coverings optional.

SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY:

- We will gather outside the court from 9am, and hopefully see the convicted men walk up the steps into the court building. From around 10am, there will be a series of readings of Victim Impact Statements written by members of our community.
- Following the readings, there will be a solemn period of silent reflection, accompanied by Agnus Dei from Fauré's Requiem.
- the static protest will remain in place outside the court until the sentencing has concluded. At that point, either the men will be taken down to the cells, OR they will be forced to exit the court through our assembly. Emotions will be high if this happens, but we ask that people do their best to avoid behaviour that tips towards violence and disorder. We don't want anyone arrested.
- we will then proceed to a rally point outside Hove Town Hall. Here, three of our group will give short speeches.
- after the speeches, everyone will be invited to attend to social event at Lotus Lamb And Sheep Sanctuary in Pulborough. We will try to coordinate lift sharing for those without their own transport.
- the social event will be the official launch event for Brighton Animal Action, and a joint fundraiser for BAA and Lotus Lamb And Sheep Sanctuary.
