Hi everyone, so I went to a drag show a few weeks ago and one of the drag queens wrapped her feather boa around me. Problem is, I don’t know if the feathers are real (I’m assuming they are because they did shed). I took pictures with the queens too, not fully comprehending that it was in poor taste until after the fact but I was so excited that I was acknowledged by one of the queens so I tried to not think about it. I want to post the pics, but I’m worried it will promote animal cruelty if the boa is made of real feathers. What do you guys suggest? Should I not post the pictures? I didn’t keep the boa either and I feel awkward dm’ing the drag performer about it.

I guess it comes down to what is most important to you - no judgment from me on the whole scene (sounds fun) - however if you inadvertantly posed with the real dead chicken or turkey would you post that? if one of your photos is just with them and you aren't wearing a boa then that might be the best of both worlds? just thinking after typing this that if someone draped a wool sweater over your shoulders and you took a photo with them like that would that really be the end of the world? tough question....

I had posted them on Snapchat (mostly before it fully clicked that it would be in poor taste that night), so I do feel kind of guilty but at least stories disappear? It is a tough question yes and I do wish the boa had been synthetic.
