It's also said that Trump speaks in hyperbole (whereas the standard for Dems has to be 100% accuracy at all times). But, as Jon Stewart points out, how are we supposed to know when he's B.S.-ing and when he's telling the truth? Such as his statement about the "enemy within"?

The guy is a fascist, and people just need to wake up to the fact.

One problem with this is that he's already been president once. So, in other words, the US has already had its first fascist president. The country didn't collapse onto itself entirely. I think this was thanks to good luck and disorganisation in the Trump camp. This time around it's a different story, of course, as the Republican party has been transformed to the Trump party, and he's surrounded by yes-men on every front.

Yes, and the fact that half of the electorate takes whatever he says as gospel is really frightening. Most of what he says makes no sense, but critical thinking seems to have gone by the wayside. He's a champion manipulator and fearmonger.

Trump lies all the time and so much so it is like he is not aware of the truth or even think that it would be accessible. It is sad, in many ways, that there are any trusting him and any of what he says so much. That there would be justice might have been doubted reasonably all along.

I went to Mastodon to join Veganism Social there, which was promoted on a thread in these forums. The one running the server recently put up a link for joining a place on Matrix, Veganism Chat, and when I had an account there, the link would not take me to that. I mentioned it several times to him, he didn't respond at first, one time he responded he was tired and off to bed and he would look to it the next day. Then he disappeared, most of his posts through his account there were gone. I am still there at Matrix making contacts with any vegans going there who respond, my account being @fredvegb:matrix.org
