Here's a challenge for 21st century first world countries. So you think the sun shines out your backsides? Well, put your money money where your mouth is and lets see some countries end animal produce for all new cheap non essential things and include things that don't need it at all.
I say 'cheap' just because that's the way nefarious things usually fall victim in tax & law and stuff that's more complicated tasting or hard to replicate might generally cost more and be less of.
For instance any non essential food, drink, clothing, etc. that can be made to the same standards without needing animal ingredients could be made without.
It's not hard now its proven you can make good tasting alternatives to most types of food like pancakes, sweets, gums, marshmallows, etc. and other things don't need it at all but the ingredients needlessly change all the time. A lot of clothing along with other things don't always need to use animal produce either.
You can even prove it by testing people if they can tell the difference, because a lot of times they can't. Can the man on the street tell the difference between beer with & without isinglass? or crisps without milk in them? or noodles without egg? No, they don't even care.
How can first world countries keep calling themselves civilised if they keep accumulating skeletons in their closets when they don't need to anymore? Surely that's fair enough.

If you insult people while challenging them to do good, it's unlikely that you'll get enthusiastic cooperation. You really need to learn to work with people.

Yeah, but you're preaching to the choir
First you need to allocate rights to animals, because they're still simply slaves in every aspect

So... it sounds like at the climate change summit the other day countries have already planned to do less meat and it will probably involve making it more expensive as I thought.
Job done (sort of)
Cheers!

C ya l8r alligators!

Shame no one listened to us though before what may have been bat meat virus killed everyone.

Hold on... I just saw John Kerry on TV yesterday and he's said the US are going to do sod all. Nice work goody gumdrops Biden.
It seems the only reason anyone's eating less meat is to save themselves. Apparently the USA can invent their way out of everything he says, after all they went to the moon... yeah but fat people stuffing their faces with burgers didn't.
At no point does anyone running the supposedly best /moralistic countries ever seem to remember that exploiting animals for pleasure is wrong and yet they ban PG Tips chimps adverts! How can adverts for meat be okay but dressing up a monkey be evil? What if vegan adverts started dressing up cows?
