'Dry' Bars - UK

Hmmm. I'm not convinced. The cocktails on the Redeption Bar website sound very nice (Redemption Restaurant/Bar for anyone intersted) but I can't see anyone I know other than me and my sister wanting one. Mocktails are an acquired taste -
very fruity and sugary - and if you're used to beer and cider it's a big leap.

I didn't know that. I suppose that I'm used to making low calorie cocktails using lots of sparkling water and stevia.

It's an interesting concept with a lot going for it, and I think there is a space for a lot of innovation in the non-alcoholic drinks area. However, I think the reason why many people drink alcohol, and sometimes drink too much alcohol, is to escape reality for a bit. It's because of stress and unhappiness with their lives. Alcohol helps take their minds off these problems in a way non-alcoholic beverages can't.

…and than comes the hangover.

I think that it's a nice option to socialise with others minus the alcohol. I never feel too comfortable with people that are drunk or very tipsy as they don't behave in a normal manner.
