Artemis 2 space mission

It's up and away! I can see the rockets from my patio. I live about 90 miles from Cape Canaveral. This one had a much bigger flame than the Space X satellites.

^^Yep. IIRC, this is the largest type of rocket we've launched yet. I was a few minutes too late to view the actual launch live- but I was excited that it was happening and watched a recorded video about 10 minutes after the fact.

we watched on Youtube - the difference in the flame is the difference in the fuel - Space X uses kerosene or methane (depending on the rocket) and Artemis II used hydrogen/oxygen - I am very jealous that you get to see them, in person, all the time, we watch almost every launch

I knew someone who got me tickets to watch a shuttle launch. The area was NASA approved. the shuttle was so far away it was almost invisible. but of course we could see the flames. The best part was the sound it made.

I think I would have liked to find that old JC Penny's parking lot where back in the 60s people would watch the Gemini and Apollo missions.
