I have a recipe for vegan ranch dressing which calls for apple cider vinegar, but there's a plethora of choices available. I've never bought or used apple cider vinegar. Can anyone tell me what's a good choice? Which brand is best? Filtered vs. unfiltered? Is unpasteurized safe? Oh help please.

I've checked what Whole Foods carries. Spectrum, Bragg and their 365 brand. I'm more inclined to buy one of those than any other brands (such as Heinz), but if Heinz is considered okay or another brand not mentioned here but available in the US, I'd consider it.

I get Bragg apple cider vinegar usually, but have gotten the 365 brand too.
Yeah, go with Bragg! Admittedly, I do not have good apple cider vinegar (I bought a store-brand plastic bottle for one tablespoon-worth in a recipe a while ago, it should probably be tossed or just used for cleaning things, LOL).... but Bragg's nutritional yeast is super nummy! Yay, Bragg!

And thank you for actually bringing the ACV issue to my attention! :)

Perfect timing! I need more ACV. I'm going to go with the Bragg's for now.
