Animal Advocacy Animal/Rights/Welfare thread

Yesterday's press coverage was huge and there was also a spot of BBC Sussex news. Everyone is discussing the case on social media, especially in East Sussex. There is discussion for our future moves on how to promote animal activism.

Indeed! Many have forgotten, that pidges were used during WW2 to carry messages across the English Channel. So many of them died and were left injured. Some have a short memory and have evicted them from their Dove cots and they are left to fend for themselves on our dirty streets!

Shame on them!

WRAS

''A rescue at height for some pigeons who found themselves trapped in a derelict building in Brighton!

One of our dedicated rescuers attended the scene to assess, however it was clear that they would not be able to free the individuals themselves - but with significant concern for the birds welfare due to the pending heat, the local fire service were called to assist.
The fires service attended and had to close the road to complete an arial rescue - however all wildlife casualties were removed from the location and assessed for injury.''
