Lincolnshire UK

''Still no response from @Lincspolice Rural Crime Team to the original Witness or ourselves regarding their assertions that the wood pigeons are being shot legally even though there are no crops in the woods or the surrounding fields.
Further investigation by a local Rescue has revealed that it would seem that since the complaint was made a nearby field has been ploughed (no planting of seed) as a possible excuse to allow the shooting. However, damage has to be proven before birds can be shot willy nilly. It is not an excuse to shoot them to say 'Well your honour we thought they may destroy our crops"!
we also believe that the wood pigeons that are shot are used for meat because of certain posts on social media that emerged last year in the #Lincoln area.
Meanwhile, they will be shot today and until February 25th.
btw if you do not comment etc no one can tell there is any support of this post so please interact and Share."

This is what is happening in the UK. Hounds enter a private garden and kill a fox.

'The terrified fox seeks refuge in a fenced patio area but the hounds chase it there, corner it and kill it. The West Norfolk Hunt terrier man then scales a six foot high fence, furtively removes the fox’s body and escapes through a gate, making no effort to remove the pack of hounds from the private property.'

"This little scruffmuffin baby pigeon is Devonshire
💗
🕊
collected yesterday from Devonshire Road junior school (Mel's former junior school before it burnt down) where he had come out of his nest too early and had fallen into the playground. He was absolutely caked in poo, fluffed up, bad tummy, weak and had a keel bone so thin it was as sharp as a knife. Warmed up first, bathtime next and then tube fed with hand rearing formula and bedtime with a teddy and gentle heatpad. Today, he is the biggest squeakbox - full of beans, tummy improving and looking like a different baby pidge
💗
🕊
welcome to Brambles little Devonshire"

More cruelty in the English countryside. On Friday the Mendip Farmer's hunt was in full swing: "Angry" George Pullen's horrific attack on a hound, who he struck at full force with the hard end of his hunting whip.

"The RSPCA is investigating after footage appeared to show a hunt member hitting a hound with a riding crop. The video was posted online following the Mendip Farmers' Hunt, which has kennels near Wells.

Anti-hunting group Mendip Hunt Sabs shared the video on Twitter to show what they claim was “a shocking act of cruelty” at the hunt as the man, who was wearing classic hunt attire of red riding jacket and white trousers, lifted his arm and appeared to strike the dog."

Bluebell Bear-Before her operation. She was obese and her tummy was touching the ground which led it to bleed. She also was in enormous pain when she tried to walk.
She underwent a pioneer operation in Bristol to remove the excess skin. She is finally doing better after having suffered her entire life. Firstly at the hands of abusers and then sadly going through surgery and it's side effects. She is now doing better and is no longer in pain as her stiches have been removed.

If you could donate a few £ towards the huge bill that this has to be paid; surgery, medication etc, we would be forever grateful. Thank you.

Before & After.

Castrol was sadly drenched in oil and had neurological problems. 5 weeks on and he is back
to normal thanks to Brambles Wildlife Rescue. Another gorgeous innocent animal saved thanks
to the kindness of some humans.
