2 Winners Share £ 66 M

Not a billion but this Scottish couple have just won £ 33 m. I saw them being interviewed on the news and they
seemed quite calm when they were asked what they would do with the win. Apparently they are going to help neighbours who have recently been flooded. They are also planning on an early retirement and she wants to buy some expensive shoes !

I love them, and am so glad they won. :)

it's a bit annoying when lottery winners spend all their winnings on cocaine and prostitutes and fast cars that sort of thing....and then they run out of money......

National Lottery: Massive unclaimed £33m ticket was bought in Worcester

By The Citizen | Posted: January 22, 2016
An unclaimed lottery ticket worth an enormous £33million was bought just up the road in Worcester.
Lotto operators Camelot revealed the location of the second winning ticket as it urged all players to "check, double-check and triple-check their tickets" following the record jackpot earlier this month.
The first half of the rollover was claimed by Scottish couple David and Carol Martin.
The six winning numbers of the January 9 draw were 26, 27, 46, 47, 52 and 58. The owner of the unclaimed ticket has until July 7 to come forward.

I also saw this on the news the other day. I wonder what happened to the winner ; died, is in a coma, is abroad on holiday, suffered with dementia and doesn't remember having a lotto ticket, can't find it etc, etc,………. ?!!!!!

the ticket is probably paper mache in someone's pocket, or in landfill after being chucked away......I think it would be good if the machines that gave the tickets could uses a debit card, and that the card would be linked to the ticket, so that the person could be traced....it seems ridiculous that a flimsy piece of paper can represent 33million pounds.

Apparently a woman is claiming that the ticket was in the pocket of her jeans and it went into the washing machine.

Oh, what a nightmare if that is the case. I would be beyond bummed.

Yes, it's worse than not winning. I always place my tickets onto the fridge with a magnet.
they should at least print the tickets on plastic.

It would make the price even more expensive. Great idea though...

Aah my mum told me that she read it earlier, and I skimmed over the article to find the picture. I fail. Yeah she's obviously faked it - but not been arrested over it (Yet!)

well, if she cheated, maybe she went in the shop the next week, and got a ticket with those numbers....that should be easy for Camelot to check.
