I haven't heard this episode yet but I believe the argument is that these tests only tell you about that particular species... rats do not give enough consistently repeatable results in humans that to rely on the results of the tests would be to introduce a HUGE distortion to your worldview... We cant just make miracle drugs by sacrificing rats to evil scientists (what a sick narrative)...
