An avocado pit can be easily grated using a microplane grater and added to salads and soups/smoothies ect.

You can grind up avocado pits in a smoothie. It contains several nutrients including calcium, magnesium and potassium. Blogger Elena Wilkins suggests splitting the pit with a heavy knife and cutting it up in pieces, then blending it while it's still wet. It's easier to mix and make it easier on your blender

there are a few articles out there that argue this idea and I agree with the sentiment that there are other foods which contain the same nutrients and are easily available - sprouting the seed and growing an avocado trees appeals to me more 🎋

Sounds gross to me. Haha. I thought they were meant to be bad to eat?

Someone I met last made a banana peel curry and that sounded pretty weird to me too.

Yeah, no! I haven't faded away from lack of nutrients so far. People can eat their avocado pits and banana peels all they want. I don't doubt the nutritional value, but if you have to sneak it in with other foods to make it palatable, no thanks.
