Vegetarian restaurant group 1847 out to become a national brand

For the past five years vegetarian restaurant group 1847 has been gradually extending its empire, now the team is set to turn its fine dining offering in to a national brand.

Has anyone been to these restaurants before? Was it any good?

I have - the original one in Manchester. It was amazing the first few times - it became a go-to place for any special occasion dinners. Then the food got a little worse but it was still pretty good. And then the menu started to have less and less vegan options, and the food, whilst still nice, was nowhere near as good as before, which made it feel pretty overpriced. Not sure if the chef changed, or if they spread themselves too thinly when they started opening multiple locations. I also haven't been in a couple of years, or been to any other locations except the original Manchester one, so it's possible that things have improved again or that the other locations are better.
