There are indeed things that cannot be put into words. They make themselves manifest. They are what is mystical.

This quote comes from Ludwig Wittgenstein's only book that was published in his lifetime: Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus (Logical-Philosophical Treatise).

Words might not entirely suffice to describe it, but at least they can go some way of explaining?

if aliens came from space and they didn't experience pain, maybe they just get a sensation telling them that their body is being damaged; how could you describe pain to them?
