Hmm, I prefer my vitamix for that.... But I agree, the box grater would not demolish the tomatoes as much.

I just use a knife and chop the flesh very finely.

I have to try it. I will most likely use the box grater then pulverize it in my magic bullet. I'm not a fan of chunky pasta sauce unless the chunks are veggies of some kind.

I wonder if the texture would work for salsa.

Then you can just simply cut them into wedges and put them into the blender, right?
