Third pod of whales stranded at Farewell Spit
They seem to be fighting a losing battle , 300 have died , they have managed to turn heaps back, but for some reason another pod is up the coast and heading towards shore .
I don't know what is the cause , there seems to be few theories out there and their theory is the right one , so I don't know what the reason is why they beach .

I saw this on the news and the sight of all these poor mites makes me wonder why this is such an occurring scene.
