Not sure if this is in the right section or not..

I want to start making my own sprouts. Any advice on how to start? Is it as easy as just soaking a bunch of beans in water for a few days?

I love spouting... I've done it a few ways but the easiest by far, for me, is simply soaking overnight, draining in a colander then putting a dish towel over them (still in the colander). Every morning and evening I give them a rinse and a shake and cover back up with the towel. After about three days, I have perfect sprouts with little to no effort. Sometimes by the last day, I spread them out on a cookie sheet to dry them out a bit. But it doesn't seem to matter if I skip that step.
The hardest part about this is waiting the three days for sprouts. If I have a craving for them I want them now, not three days from now, lol. :)

Bump.

So tomorrow morning will be three days since trying to sprout chickpeas. This is what they look like. They have not sprouted very much. Is it safe to eat them like this?
