I believe it's been argued that Trump and the new brand of Republicans aren't fascists because they're against gun control whereas historical fascists typically wanted the state and military to have monopoly on guns. However, with such developments as in this case where armed supporters of the government are using threats of violence to disrupt the political process in an opposition party-majority state, i.e. a text book example of domestic terrorism, I think that argument is invalid.
