Norway's right-wing government could resign this week if the justice minister loses a no-confidence vote after she triggered outrage among survivors of a 2011 gun massacre, media reported on Sunday.
More: Norway government may fall on minister's no-confidence vote (18. March 2018)

While the justice minister (Sylvi Listhaug) is a particularly despicable politician of the same ilk as the right wing of the US Republican party, the opposite side of the coin is that should the current government step down and the opposition parties form a new one, then I think the fragile decision to ban fur farming from 2025 could well be reversed.

Listhaug is "famous" for her publicity stunt trip to the Mediterranean in 2016 to experience "first hand" the plight of the refugees. That is, briefly floating in the water on a sunny day with no waves while wearing a survival suit.

Well, that was an outrageous statement for Listhaug to make, considering the affiliation of the biggest terrorist in Norway's history, and who his victims were.

Update: It's not looking good for the government after the Christian Democrats decided to support the motion of no confidence in the minister of justice. The prime minister has previously said the whole government will step down if the motion wins majority in parliament.

Update: The government was saved in the last minute by the justice minister's resignation. As she stepped down, one of the comments she made was that the situation had seemed like a total witch hunt. Oh, the poor woman, who was only posting a little bit of weak-on-national-defence, these-guys-love-islamist-terrorists smear about the main opposition party.
